Appeals

By donating to our Appeals local people, companies and organisations can support local issues affecting local people. Our Appeals are linked to funds that are accepting donations before we can effectively address local issues.

Appeals

Our Surviving Winter Appeal is an annual appeal we first started in 2011 as part of a national campaign to support older people during the winter months. Since its launch a total of £4.7 million has been raised to help 65,000 nationwide. In Dorset we have raised over £60,000 to support hundreds of older people across the county.

The Lord-Lieutenant’s Fund for Young and Talented was officially launched at an event in September 2015. The Foundation is contributing part of its resources to pump prime the fund, and our aim is to raise £50,000 or more from individual, trust and corporate donations over the next two years.

Do it for Dorset Week is our annual fundraising initiative happening in June every year and we appeal to all Dorset residents to get involved in fundraising activities to raise donations for those most in need across the county. All donations raised through DIFDW go into our Dorset Fund.
