In partnership with the National Emergencies Trust, local and national charitable trusts and individual donations we have already raised over £100,000 within days of setting up the vital Appeal.
The money raised by the appeal is being distributed through the Dorset Coronavirus Community Fund, in order to effectively and efficiently support local voluntary and community organisations in Dorset who are helping vulnerable people affected by the Covid-19 crisis; easing the immediate difficulties communities are facing and supporting their recovery over the coming weeks and months.
We are initially offering grants of up to £5,000 but hope to increase this as more funds become available.
