Education Fund

For most young people growing up in Dorset has many advantages, but there are clear signs that too many young people in our county face significant obstacles to overcome before they can fulfil their potential in life.

After all, local young people are the future workforce for Dorset.

Education Fund

The Education Fund has been set up to help ensure all young people have equal opportunities to reach their full potential and can access education and training.

The Education theme of the Dorset Fund consists of two elements – the DCF Bursary Scheme and the Raising Aspirations Mentoring Programme.

DCF Bursary Scheme

The DCF Bursary Scheme supports, through bursaries of up to £1,000, young people aged between 16-21 in vocational training and education.

We focus on helping those with disabilities, caring responsibilities for other members of their family, those who live on a family income of less than £21,000, in receipt of income support, care leavers or cared-for young people.
