DORSET Community Foundation Chief Executive Grant Robson has left his role after almost ten years with the charity.
Chairman of Trustees Tom Flood CBE said the board had accepted his decision with sadness, adding: “During his time with DCF the organisation has grown financially, and continues to do excellent work serving the Dorset communities. Grant was instrumental in making this happen and has also developed an excellent team of people.
“Although we are sad to lose that passion, and we have wished him all the very best on his next chapter, we welcome this exciting period for DCF as we move forward.
“We have an experienced and committed team and we are confident they will continue to help us fulfil our vision to create united and thriving communities by fostering a culture of giving and philanthropy in Dorset.”
Grant joined the organisation in 2016 and during his time the charity has developed significant funding partnerships including numerous major local donors, BCP and Dorset councils, the NHS and many charitable trusts and foundations, both regional and national.
Grant said: “While the time is right for me to leave, I am so proud of the impact that DCF has been able to achieve during my tenure which I know has made a massive difference to the charitable groups and projects who are improving the lives of so many people across Dorset.
“I am confident the truly amazing team and trustees will continue to grow that impact and become even more important to addressing the often hidden needs within our wonderful county.“
Tom added: “We will begin the recruitment process for new leadership but in the meantime it will be business as usual, working with our donors, funders and partners to help create the change Dorset needs.”
