We manage numerous funds for individuals, companies, local authorities and funding partners such as Comic Relief.

The David and Quinta Woodward Family Fund

Established in February 2021, The David and Quinta Woodward Family Fund will focus on supporting the existing DCF Bursary scheme helping disadvantaged young people to acquire practical skills improving their employment prospects. The Fund will also support the homeless particularly projects which seek to transition the homeless into accommodation and rebuilding their lives.

The Paul Cornes Fund

The Paul Cornes Fund is a newly established fund set up by his partner, Tom Flood and supported by friends and loved ones in memory of Paul.

The Corton Hill Fund

The Corton Hill Fund was established in March 2020 by a very generous family living close to the Somerset/Dorset border.

Designs for Humanity Fund

The Designs for Humanity Fund is established by our Ambassador and internationally recognised local artist Stuart Semple to support families and individuals in need of support in our local communities.

Dorothy Enid Bartlett Fund

This fund was established as a result of our partnership with Humphries Kirk solicitors.

The Lester Aldridge Solicitors Fund

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Lester Aldridge Solicitors Fund. The corporate fund supports local charities & community groups which address a variety of areas such as disability, education and sports.

The Daisy Fund

The Daisy Fund is looking to award grants that will help individuals to 'move on' in life, by affecting a positive change in their lives that may lead to new opportunities.

The Tampon Tax Community Fund

This funding programme is allocating funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls. The Tampon Tax Community Fund aims to support local organisations working with women who are most marginalised to overcome barriers that prevent them from fulfilling their potential.

The Gladys Watson Fund

The Fund established by Stephen & Ingrid Uden and named after Stephen’s great aunt Gladys has been set up to enable young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential.

Kitson & Trotman Fund

We are very pleased to be working with the well-established and respected Dorset firm to utilise their unclaimed client balances to support local good causes.

The Dorset Performing Arts Fund

'There is strong evidence that participation in the arts can contribute to community cohesion, reduce social exclusion and isolation, and/or make communities feel safer and stronger' Arts Council.

The Primrose Fund

This fund was set up in 2018 by local philanthropists Kelvin and Pippa Medley-Jones in memory of Kelvin’s late mother Primrose.

The Graham Burrough Fund for Mental Health

We are very pleased to launch this new fund which was set up via a trust transfer from a closing down charitable trust which has supported over 100 groups in the last 18 years.

Wessex Water Community Fund

We are very pleased to be working together with Wessex Water through the newly established Wessex Water Community Fund.

Humphries Kirk Fund

We are delighted to be working with a leading Dorset and Somerset law firm Humphries Kirk who have partnered with the Foundation to utilise unclaimed client balances to benefit local charitable causes.

The Collins Fund

The Collins Fund was set up by David Collins with a transfer from his existing family charitable trust.

The Toby’s of Shaftesbury Fund

The Toby’s of Shaftesbury Fund will support local groups that deliver life changing outcomes for young people.

iWill Programme (Formerly Youth Social Action Fund)

This fund has been developed as part of the #iwill campaign, which aims to increase youth volunteering by 50% by 2020 and is being delivered by many community foundations across England.

Joy & Lance Collier Fund

The Legacy Fund was set up by their daughters, Bridie, Anne and Janet, as a unique and lasting tribute to the life of their parents.

Bournemouth Communities Fund

Bournemouth Communities Fund was set up by transferring several Trusts from Bournemouth Borough Council to provide funding for Bournemouth's bicentennial year celebrations

Bournemouth and Poole College Art Prize Fund

Bournemouth and Poole College have set up the Fund with us to support and encourage engagement in the visual arts by people of all ages in Dorset.

Bournemouth and Poole College Foundation Fund

In 2011 Bournemouth and Poole College transferred to the Foundation three funds totalling £36,789 which we match funded to create a £73,578 fund.

Comic Relief Local Communities Fund

Comic Relief for Dorset aims to help local communities suffering from economic and social deprivation across the county.

Dorset County Council Fund

Dorset County Council recognises and values the potential of organisations of all sizes working across Dorset to deliver outcomes for the communities they serve.

Dorset Communities Fund

Dorset Communities Fund was set up by several trust transfers from Dorset County Council and supports shire Dorset based charitable projects.

The Edmunds Fund

The Edmunds Fund was set up by Sara Jacson one of our Ambassadors and a recent recipient of an MBE award. The donor advised Fund supports young people’s projects in the Shaftesbury (and Gillingham) areas of Dorset.

The Edwards Fund

The fund holder - Jean Edwards is one of our Ambassadors and a former Trustee of the Foundation.

Marjorie Gordon Fund

The fund was set up through a large legacy left to the Foundation by the retired teacher Marjorie Gordon.

Perrys Recycling

We have teamed with Perrys Recycling to launch a charity paper bank scheme with the support and agreement from our local supermarkets across Dorset.

Poole Communities Fund

Poole Communities Fund was set up by a trust transfer from the Borough of Poole.

Red Nose Day Community Cash Fund

Working in partnership with Comic Relief, BBC South and the Community Foundations for Hampshire & Isle of Wright, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire we deliver Red Nose Day Community Cash Fund for the South.

Salisbury Diocese Social Welfare Fund

The fund aims to support the most disadvantaged in particular areas in Dorset.

Superior STEM Bursary Fund

The STEM Bursary Fund has been set up by a local company - Superior to support disadvantaged young people aged between 16 and 21 in training or education with bursaries of up to £1,500.

Tallships Pelican Fund

This fund aims to give young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunities to learn new skills and experience life on board the Tall Ship Pelican.
