The Sir George Earle Benevolent Fund is named after its principal benefactor, the late Sir George Earle. The fund was established in 1974 and was transferred to UKCF in 2018. The purpose of the fund is to support current and former employees of Blue Circle Industries in the UK s in cases of financial hardship and to fund local projects supporting older people facing loneliness and isolation.

UKCF distributed the funds to local community foundations, like DCF, to provide funds on behalf of the beneficiaries. Nearly £11,000 has been distributed by Dorset Community Foundation from the Sir George Earle Fund since 2019.
