DCF Reports a Boost in Grant Making for Last Year

The funding that the Foundation has made available is just over £90,000 more than the Foundation dispersed in the previous year.

Grant Robson, Director at the Dorset Community Foundation explained: ‘We are very pleased with the boost in funding that was given out to worthy causes and individuals here in Dorset, however there is still so much to be done as we are experiencing a significant increase in the demand for funding for across all out funding programmes, which can only mean need and disadvantage is growing.

Our continuing focus for this year and the future has to be working more and more with individuals, families, Charitable Trusts and companies. This includes anyone who may wish to give back to Dorset, but need help in finding the right beneficiaries, the right projects – targeting their goodwill where the need is most and the impact is greatest.

The funding the Foundation offers is spread all across the county and covers a very wide variety of issues – from educational bursaries, disability and access grants to supporting older people in fuel poverty.

If you may be interested in giving back locally as part of a company or on an individual basis or you are involved with a local charitable trust that would like to expand or revitalise grant making to individuals and groups locally, please get in touch with the Foundation’s Director Grant Robson at grant@dorsetcf.org.
