Future Roots

Future Roots was established in 2008 and provides educational and social services to some of the most vulnerable and isolated young people in the county through the therapeutic value of farming.

Future Roots

The funding received from the 8th Round of the Dorset County Council Fund was for a project to support young people experiencing a range of transitions such as moving between primary and secondary school, leaving school at 16, or moving home following family breakdown.

Future Roots will support these young people with therapeutic sessions including animal-assisted therapy.

Funding from Dorset Community Foundation and the Dorset County Council Fund has come at crucial times and has helped us develop new services for people in the community who need extra support.
