We have four grant programmes that support young people in Dorset who need financial support to help them reach their full potential.  

Grants for individuals

The DCF Bursary Scheme supports young people age 16 to 25 living in Dorset, who are studying vocational courses at specific colleges and sixth forms and need help with essential course costs.

The Superior STEM Bursary supports young people age 16 to 25 living in South East Dorset, who are studying STEM subjects at specific colleges and sixth forms and need help with essential course costs.

The SWEF Enterprise Fund supports young people age 18 to 30 who want to invest in their business but cannot access finance from other sources (such as a bank loan).

The Lord-Lieutenant’s Fund for Young and Talented supports young people age 14 to 21 with an an exceptional talent and ambitions in sport who need financial help to meet the costs of coaching or competing.

Below you will find the criteria and guidance for each grant programme – please check carefully to make sure you are eligible for funding before applying.
