The group has been set up by Shaftesbury Town Council, The Blackmore Vale Partnership, Open House and the Civic Society in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to support Shaftesbury community. They received a grant of £5,000 towards volunteer expenses and food parcels to support vulnerable residents affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. The partnership has just completed their project reporting that the funding has enabled them feed 301 people including 149 adults and 152 children over the last 10 weeks.
